Police detain seven people in Erzurum

Seven people were taken into custody as a result of political genocide operations carried out by Turkish gendarmerie and special operations police in many neighbourhoods of Karayazı, in Erzurum.

Those detained were taken to Karayazı Gendarmerie Command. Apparently the seven were taken into custody after the high court’s approval of the prison sentences handed out in previous cases.

Those detained have been named as: Salih Altai, Eset Kaplan, Ali Rıza Kaplan, Metin Kara, Bahattin Sümbül, Ali Sümbül and Faruk Sümbül.
