Artist Ciwanro Baleban murdered in Hewlêr

Kurdistan National Artists Association member Ciwanro Baleban was killed in an armed attack in Hewler (Erbil), capital of the autonomous Kurdistan region in northern Iraq.

The head of the association, Cezayisaz Karim Silêmani announced the murder of artist Ciwanro Baleban on Facebook, “strongly condemning” it.

Silêmani called on the Asayish (local security force) and the police in Hewler to shed light on the incident in every aspect.
