Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Mustafa Avcı taken into custody

Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Mustafa Avcı, who was dismissed and replaced by a state-appointed trustee on 19 August 2019, was taken into custody this morning.

It was learned that Avcı, after his house was was taken to the Anti-Terror Branch. No information could be obtained on Avcı’s reason for detention.
