Kurds in Zurich protest the US for bounty on PKK leading figures

A demonstration was held in front of the Zurich Canton Parliament to protest the bounty put by the US on three leading PKK cadres, Murat Karayılan, Cemil Bayık and Duran Kalkan.

“Representatives of the Kurdish people are not terrorists” said a banner carried by activists.

The spokesperson of the Swiss Kurdish Society (CDK-S) Ali Şimşek said in his speech that the decision of the US to reward the capture of “the three representatives of the Kurdish people”, has been taken on false and imaginary grounds and should be withdrawn immediately.

“This decision is not independent from the invasion and massacre attacks that the Turkish army has launched against the four parts of Kurdistan, with the support of both the US and European countries.”
