Sit-in protest against Turkish occupation continues in Strasbourg

TJK-E and KCDK-E launched a four-week sit-in action with the slogan ‘Everywhere is Avashin, everywhere is Zap, everywhere is Metina! Against the occupation and genocide! Dem Dema Azadiye ye!’

FEDA, CÎK, MARDEF, the Yazidi Coordination, Tev-Çand, the assemblies affiliated to the FCK Federation (Sttutgard, Freibourg, Heilbronn, Pforzheim, Nuremberg, Munich) took over the action, in its third week.

Detailed files prepared by KCDK-E containing information on the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and the invasion attacks of the Turkish state, Freibourg DKTM were delivered to churches by co-chair Leyla Topuz, Demir Çelik on behalf of FEDA, Mele Kasım Serhad on behalf of CİK, Carcur Cemil from the European Yazidi Coordination.

A panel about the Maraş Massacre was held on Tuesday. The panel was attended by writers Aziz Tunç and Hozan Emekçi.

Activists saluted Kurdish people’s leader and the guerrilla resistance. Artists from MARDEF, Hozan Emekçi and Serhat Med joined the action.
