Opinion leaders in Til Temir stand with the Autonomous Administration, demand its recognition

North and East Syria’s calls for an official recognition of the Autonomous Administration continue increasingly. The peoples living in the region express their pleasure and state that the Autonomous Administration pays attention to demands of the citizens.

Opinion leaders of Arabic tribes in Til Temir (Tal Tamr) spoke to ANHA on issue and pointed out the difference between the Autonomous Administration and Damascus Government. They also called on the international community to recognise the Autonomous Administration.

Mihemed Ehmed El Hisên, one of Begaret El Cebel tribe opinion leaders, stressed that they can clearly observe the great difference between the period of Autonomous Administration governance and the previous period of rule by Damascus government.

He defined the Autonomous Administration as a governance which is sensitive to all distinctive traditions of peoples in the region, pays serious attention to demands of the citizens and creates tangible solutions for the problems of whole society.

‘AUTONOMOUS ADMINISTRATION BECAME A GLIMMER OF HOPE FOR PEOPLES’

El Hisên said, “We want this administration to be permanent because this administration became a glimmer of hope through basing on equality of men, women and all peoples in the region. We, as peoples living in North and East Syria, demand the Autonomous Administration which meets the needs of peoples to be officially recognised.”

He ended his assessment saying, “We, as opinion leaders of Arabic tribes, stand with the Autonomous Administration. We mutually recognise each other. In this sense, we call on the international community and the Arab League to officially recognise the Autonomous Administration.”

‘AUTONOMOUS ADMINISTRATION GUARANTEES HUMAN RIGHTS’

Similarly, Ehmed El Xidir, one of the representatives of Şerabiyan tribe, said, “We witness that everyone living in North and East Syria experiences a lawful and fair life under the umbrella of the Autonomous Administration. Such a stability was impossible during the period of Damascus government. I express all these basing on my personal experiences. Previously once, when I brought animals from Iraq, I was imprisoned in a security office of Damascus government for 6 months.”

He noted that the Autonomous Administration stands for all peoples in the region and guarantees fundamental rights for whole society.

‘AUTONOMOUS ADMINISTRATION IS A LEGITIMATE GOVERNANCE’

El Xidir mentioned the reasons for participating in the Autonomous Administration, saying, “When the gangs attacked the region, Damascus government left us alone and defenceless. Contrary to Damascus, the forces of YGP/YPJ (People’s /Women’s Defense Units) and SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) protected the region. Since its establishment, the Autonomous Administration has defended all peoples in the region and guaranteed human rights.”

He stated that Şerabiyan tribe supports the Autonomous Administration and called on the international community to officially recognise the Autonomous Administration.
